I have to say that for the money this is a really wonderful flute! I'm very impressed with the deep, rich warm tone in the lower register. It speaks very well. Also the response is very fast. I highly recommend this flute to anyone that is looking for a professional flute at an affordable price!

I have owned this flute since 2005. This flute has a nice deep tone quality in the lower register. This flute sings the music from the lowest note on up to the highest note within a flutes musical range. This flute has a very bright sound quality, and I especially like the gold lip-plate on this flute because it dose not tarnish. Any flautist on a budget looking for a professional sounding flute, this is the flute I would recommend.

I got this flute to replace a Gemeinhardt 52SP. I ordered the S1 headjoint and both a B and C foot. While I was very happy with the sound of the 52SP, I needed a flute that was easier to play--both in key response and air control--both issues for older players (who are getting back into music). This flute has exceeded my expectations! The tone is beautiful and the keys are very responsive. Low notes are full with plenty of volume; high notes are pure and clean. My flute instructor, who also liked my previous flute, said this one sounds sweeter, less edgier. The engraved gold lip plate is attractive and no doubt adds to the warm sound of the flute. I don't find that the engraving helps me with lip placement as some folks indicated. You can spend more $$ if you want, but why? This flute is an incredible value! I'm looking forward to many years of playing with this flute!

This flute practically plays itself. I just got it today after sampling a Jupiter, Yamaha, and two Pearls. This one just called my name. It has a deep full tone in the lower register and a beautiful tone in the higher register. I've been playing an M3S intermediate flute for about two years and it prepared me for the next step, which is this masterpiece of an instrument. I know I sound like I'm practically drooling over it, but there is simply nothing bad you can say about this instrument. It responds well to vibrato, making it sound richer and deeper than before, it practically sings high E and F#, you couldn't ask for a nicer sounding low B, and it is just perfect in every way. However, since I've only had it for less than a day, I don't know how well it stands in the test of time, but since it is a professional quality flute and feels really sturdy, it will probably last until I'm old and gray.

I collect Gemiendhart flutes and this is by far my favorite one. I use it all the time now when I play at church and the tone is beautiful with a response that is outstanding. It is quite a looker with the gold mouth plate also and catches quite a bit of attention. It is quite a joy to play. With the purchase of this flute I now consider my collection complete. Oh yes this is the whipped cream and cherry on my sundae!
